Patrick Masse

Patrick Masse coming to Dallas

In a time when country music seems dominated by either pop cross-over divas, young boys and female singer-songwriters, Canadian Recording Artist Patrick Masse continues to make his way in a genre not many young men choose to tackle, but Patrick does this with relative ease. From smooth ballads like Something's Telling Me to radio bound inspirational tracks such as We're Not Alone, Masse delivers his own style of country music that will appeal to younger audiences as well as to the more seasoned country listener.

His exposure to old country began very early in his life when his whole family would take long rides in the Chevy Van and sing along to their old country favourites. Patrick can be considered one of those lucky people that knew from an early age that he wanted to sing. You might think that one's identity would get lost in the mishmash of a large family, but fortunately his parents recognized and nurtured the spirit that music inspired in Patrick.

In the mid 90's, while most of his friends were heading off to parties and raves, Patrick was appearing around Vancouver at different songwriter's gatherings and live music venues. Then through an association with songwriter Sandy Dunkley, Patrick was introduced to the Nashville Songwriters Association, where he began playing showcases. His association with Dunkley also introduced Patrick to Mel Shaw, the Founding President of CARAS (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences), who co-produced Patrick's first CD in Nashville.

Over the past few years Patrick has seen many successes with his music including a nomination for the Ray McAuley Memorial "Horizon" Award at the BCCMA Awards and radio airplay for his first two CDs all over Canada, Europe and parts of the United States.

A few years ago, Patrick felt a need to give back and called upon some of Vancouver, Canada's talent and put together a show at the Vogue Theatre to raise money and awareness for people living with dyslexia.

With the good looks and charm of a country boy and the soulful voice of a crooner, Patrick Masse is winning over new fans with his traditional yet refreshing brand of country.
